This story pulled me in from the beginning and honestly didn’t let me go until I reached the end. There were so many obstacles thrown at these characters at every step, and somehow they kept choosing each other through all of it.

I really loved Silas and the way he was so possessive and protective of her. I also loved that she wasn’t a helpless heroine. She was strong and brave in her own way.

One of my favorite parts was watching her go through the grief of losing the life and sense of herself she once had. She had to put her trust in a complete stranger, and somehow that stranger became the person who helped her find her strength again. Silas didn’t just protect her and keep her safe. He taught her how to protect herself. He trained her to pay attention to her surroundings, recognize danger, and know how to keep herself safe. She started out as the prey, but she didn't stay that way.

I really loved seeing how they made each other stronger. She helped Silas feel seen, wanted, and happy in a way he didn’t think he deserved, while he helped her discover that she was capable of so much more than she realized. Their relationship became more than just him protecting her; they became a team.

Their relationship had so much tension, especially with everything happening around them. They tried to ignore their feelings, but eventually they just couldn’t stay away from each other. And yes… there was plenty of spice 🔥 which was definitely a nice addition to all that tension!

I loved the whole ride this book took me on—the danger, secrets, betrayal, running, hiding, and having to trust each other when it felt like there was no one else they could turn to. When Silas realized that even the people he trusted might have betrayed him, it really felt like it had come down to the two of them against everyone else.

I did notice a few spelling/typo errors throughout the book, but they were easy enough to understand from the context and never stopped me from getting caught up in the story.

Overall, this was such an exciting, emotional, and spicy read. I became completely invested in Silas and Wren’s story, and now that I’ve reached the end, I’m definitely not ready to leave them behind. That cliffhanger has me desperately curious about what comes next. 😭🖤
