Damiana

Full Review by WiggyMarie

This book had me hooked from the beginning. Our main character, Marlowe, is relatable and likeable, but sometimes frustratingly passive. The story deals directly with the "go along to get along" tendencies of women and how this puts women in danger. At the heart of the story is the question: Once the discomfort kicks in, what do you do? Why do you accept when certain decisions are made for you? Who has the power, or are you at the whim of something bigger than yourself?

There is suspense, spice, and eyebrow-rising decisions. You won't always agree with what the character does (or doesn't) do, but you also won't know how much control she had at the time - and neither will she.
