I really enjoyed the world and characters in this story. The synergy between the main characters is alluring. They handle their hardships and misunderstandings maturely without the reader feeling frustrated at their development. The plot kept me interested and wanting to know what happens next.

I however, did find the flow between chapters occasionally slow or disjointed. The writing style didn’t bother me, because I felt it was to convey how straight forward and or blunt the characters were. That being said it caused some parts to become slightly repetitive or confusing.

Overall, I believe it is worth the read. I am looking forward to these characters new adventures and new acquaintances. Thank you to the author for writing and letting me read the ARC on Pen Pinery.

Right from the very beginning of the book you can tell that main characters are instantly attracted to each other. While in denial about their feelings for each other they never deny their attraction or how companionable they find each other’s company.

I was a little surprised at the age gap but it didn’t detract from the main character. The shifter universe and diversity of types of shifters was very interesting. Overall a good read with a happy ending for our main couple.
