Sweet Little Romance
(4 )
While I don’t think I was quite the target audience for this book (it reads as very young adult), I still enjoyed this cute little story. I liked the unusual premise - girl meets boy via a late-night prank call that turns into a telephone friendship. I also enjoyed reading about cultures that I know little about. |

Suffering from burnout at her corporate job and forced to take a mental health break, Ana returns to the small Italian beach town where she once spent an unforgettable summer. While there, she reconnects not only with an old love, but also herself and her nearly-forgotten passion for life. Thank you so much to Pen Pinery and the author for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. I am voluntarily providing a honest review. |

I love magical realism and Just Her Holiday Type is a perfect example of magical realism done really well! I really loved Plum! She was funny and dramatic and so sweet! Ethan was perfect as a man burdened with responsibility and the feeling that he could never quite measure up. Zach was adorable with his over-the-top gestures of love! This was such a fun holiday book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a magical holiday romance! |
