Carve Me Golden was such a refreshing surprise. I picked it up for the romance, but what truly made it stand out was the unique alpine skiing setting, which felt authentic and added so much excitement to the story. Mara J. Ova does a fantastic job of balancing the intensity of competitive sports with emotional character growth and a heartfelt romance.

The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, and I loved the slow-burn development of their relationship. Their interactions felt natural, full of tension, vulnerability, and genuine connection. Both characters were ambitious, flawed, and easy to root for, which made their journey even more engaging.

What I appreciated most was how the story explored not only love, but also personal dreams, sacrifice, and the pressure of pursuing excellence. The emotional moments hit hard, while the lighter scenes brought plenty of warmth and charm.

If you're looking for a sports romance with strong character development, emotional depth, and a setting that feels different from the usual sports romance novels, Carve Me Golden is definitely worth reading. I can't wait to read more from Mara J. Ova.

Carve Me Free was an addictive and emotional sports romance that completely pulled me in from the very first chapter. Mara J. Ova delivers everything I love in the genre: undeniable chemistry, high emotional stakes, and characters who feel real, flawed, and impossible not to root for.

The enemies-to-lovers dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the story. The tension between Nico and Élise was electric from the start, and every interaction felt charged with emotion, attraction, and conflict. Their relationship developed naturally, making the payoff incredibly satisfying.

I also loved the class-gap aspect of the romance. Élise's struggle to break free from the expectations placed on her and Nico's more carefree, rebellious personality created a fascinating contrast that added depth to their connection. Their journey wasn't just about falling in love—it was about finding the courage to become the people they truly wanted to be.

The alpine skiing setting continues to be one of the strongest aspects of this series. The races, travel, media attention, and pressure of professional sports created an immersive atmosphere that made the story feel fresh and exciting. The author's passion for the sport shines through on every page.

What stayed with me most was the emotional growth of both characters. Beneath the romance and the tension is a story about freedom, identity, and choosing your own path despite expectations from others.

If you enjoy forbidden romance, enemies-to-lovers tension, emotional character development, and a unique sports setting, Carve Me Free is a fantastic read. This series keeps getting better, and I can't wait to see where Mara J. Ova takes these characters next.

Carve My Heart completely swept me away. From the very first chapter, I was hooked by the chemistry between Katharina and Thomas, and the tension only kept building with every interaction. This is one of those romances where you can feel the attraction, the longing, and the emotional conflict on every page.

What I loved most was that the relationship felt about so much more than physical attraction. Katharina is strong, ambitious, and determined to protect the career she worked so hard to build, while Thomas is used to being at the top of his game but finds himself challenged in ways he never expected. Their connection felt genuine, and watching them navigate the risks of falling for each other made the story impossible to put down.

The professional skiing setting once again adds something special to the book. The competitions, media pressure, and demands of elite sports create real stakes beyond the romance and make the story feel fresh compared to other sports romances. Mara J. Ova clearly knows this world and brings it to life in a way that feels authentic and immersive.

I also appreciated the emotional depth of the story. Beneath the attraction and tension is a beautiful exploration of trust, vulnerability, and learning to let someone into your heart despite the risks. Both characters grow throughout the novel, making their journey even more rewarding.

If you enjoy forbidden romance, strong character development, and sports romances filled with chemistry, emotion, and unforgettable moments, Carve My Heart is a must-read. This might be my favorite book in the series so far.
