Born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains, I know them like the back of my hand. Their ever-changing beauty with the seasons is nourishment to my soul. It’s among the towering trees, dappled sunlight, and mountain streams I’m most at peace, where damp earth blends with the pungent smell of pine and the sweet fragrance of wildflowers I can breathe.

Having lost my parents, I now live with my uncle. If life has taught me anything, it’s that change is inevitable and sometimes difficult. So, when things take a turn for the worse, I disappear to the only place I feel safe.

My life is just the way I like it. I have my own motorcycle & repair shop and do what the hell I please. When my elderly father asks me to catch a thief hanging out in the woods on his property, I do it even though I’m not happy about it. Despite being near skin and bones, she quite pretty and as harmless as a butterfly. I don’t need the distraction or the headache, but I’ll do what I can to help her, if for no other reason than every butterfly deserves to spread its wings and fly.
