Alex has never been one to pay attention to things that don’t help him win. During his World Championship match against Daniel, he couldn’t help but notice that Daniel kept him pinned beneath him far longer than necessary. With quickened pulses and bated breath, Alex knew he wanted more of him, on and off the mat.
Alex is witty, charming, and funny. His vulnerable moments during specific events (no spoilers) were some of the best parts.
Daniel is focused and rigid, except around those he trusts and cares about. Watching Alex become one of those people had me giggling and kicking my feet.
This is a slow-paced, slow-burn story. It is full of unspoken feelings, stolen glances and touches, tension, lust, and self-acceptance. The spice is high and occurs at a moderate frequency.
I was shocked to find out at the end there will be a book 2, I can't wait to see where their story goes.
