An MM sports romance between two closeted wrestlers, the world champion and the man he beat.
Alex Carter doesn't lose well. He lost the world final to Daniel Morgan anyway. Morgan held him down for forty seconds when twelve would have done it, and Alex stopped fighting and let him. Then a thumb on the inside of his wrist, the whistle, and Morgan walked off like nothing had happened.
Nobody had ever checked his pulse on a mat. Alex hasn't been right since. He wants to beat him. He wants him more.
Daniel Morgan is the world champion, and nothing he does on a mat is an accident. He says everyone's reading into it. He can't say why an American's number is still in his wallet. He wants Alex's hands on him again. It scares him more than losing ever has.
Then a league signs them as rivals. Three cities, same bracket, cameras on all of it. On the mat they can have their hands all over each other and get paid for it. Everywhere else it's secret hookups in hotel rooms. Alex has a family that can never know. Daniel has nobody he'd tell.
If they both keep winning, they meet in the final.
An explicit MM rivals-to-lovers wrestling romance with dual POV. Book 1 ends on a firm happy-for-now, and Alex and Daniel's story continues in Book 2.
Content notes: explicit sexual content (M/M), sports injury, emotional unavailability, long distance, closeted characters.
