"Love in the Time of Vacuum Decay" is a collection of short, provocative stories, each exploring unique themes of grim futures, child-like wonder, and, above all, obscurity. With such a creative project, one can't help but wonder about the mind behind the writing. How does someone conceive such a refreshing concept?

My favorite stories in no order:

- Geraldine's Blanket
- Horse
- Cool
- Things That Are, but Aren't
- City
- Four Cornered Pedro
- A New Drug (Loved the highway-shoulder Yakuza imagery)
- X Men

If you've ever wondered what the world of Aladdin (1992 animated film) would be like with guns and a mentally insane Aladdin you'll want to read this book.

Josie (5 )

An intriguing and mysterious short story unfolds, centered around a girl and her parents. The narrative skillfully blurs the lines between reality and imagination, leaving the reader questioning the true nature of Josie and her circumstances. Without divulging too many details, the conclusion empowers the reader to interpret the genuine motivations behind a late-night phone call and the parents responding to it.
