I really enjoyed this book of two halves. The first section covers the unfolding tension and mystery of the midnight caller. I really enjoyed trying to work out who they were and watching the relationship grow through the calls. The FMC has a lot to cope with and is the epitome of grace. I really connected with her.

The second happens in day and I loved how the pace quickened as tension grew and the stakes were higher. The romance is very slow burn and I really enjoyed that. However I found the MMC immature and controlling at times, with his focus on her clothes or not drinking. He also really struggles with advocating for himself and can be very insecure which was irritating at times.

That being said, the ending was great and I look forward to reading book two and finding out the answers to the mysteries hat have bugged me ever since!
