I really enjoyed the next installment in this series of interconnected series of standalones.
I love that we got to still see what happened with Draven and Seraphine's love story. Plus, we, the reader, get to hear Kael's thoughts and sense of humor on it. Such as accidently interpreting them and " seeing Dray's white ass bobbing " 🤭
I loved Laya's character from the very first page. She literally fought for her right to be free. And you can feel her grit and determination from the very first page. Kael, while protective, has a sense of humor that balances out her serious side and is the perfect mate for her.
My only nitpick is the four Alphas. I felt like they were part of the problem with the conflict with the dragons and how the clans were run. Why were they still allowed to remain in charge?
