Changing on the Fly

This was a nice story.

I liked that Hunter had emotions and that though he didn’t cry in front of others at first, he didn’t push that down and did let it out, especially with his parents. I liked that even thinking Chase hated him he still stood up to him and didn’t cower away.

However, I did feel like there were moments where Hunter came across a bit pathetic. I felt like Chase quickly went from being mean to confessing how he felt all along about Hunter and that given how demoralised Hunter was after 3 years of torment, he gave into Chase pretty quickly. I would have preferred a bit of longer slow burn in that aspect. I would have liked to see things from Chase’s POV. I think also the spice was a bit too repetitive and could have done with a little less of it to push the story along. I also felt like Hunter coming out to his parents was quite sudden and almost entirely brushed over via a quick conversation with Chase about it. I would have liked the conversation to be included.

Overall, I liked the story and could see where the author was going with it, but I think it could have been a bit shorter (cutting out some of the similar spicy scenes would have shortened it the right amount I think) and I think it would have been more interesting to have Hunter not forgive Chase so quickly.
