I received an ARC copy of this book from Pen Pinery in exchange for an honest review. However, I read this book without reading the first book in the series.

This book follows a young woman surviving a traumatic event who is trying to heal and move forward as best she can. She then meets Matt, who happens to be her brother’s best friend. The chemistry and tension are so strong, you can feel it off the page. But just like any book, it can’t be that simple. Matt carries a secret that keeps you turning the pages to figure out what it is. The two are truly meant to be!

The suspense in this book was great!!!

Although I enjoyed this book, I believe if I had read the first book, I would have been more invested and enjoyed it more. That’s my fault.
