The Quarantine Clause by Ayla Foy is a fun, engaging slow-burn romance that did a great job of turning an unusual situation into something romantic and surprisingly intimate. Being stuck together for twelve days created plenty of opportunities for tension, stolen moments, and emotional connection, and I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop at a believable pace. I especially liked that the romance didn’t feel rushed. The characters had time to get to know each other, work through their reservations, and let their feelings grow naturally. The chemistry and anticipation kept me turning the pages, and the close-quarters setting added an extra layer of tension. Ayla Foy has created a cozy, entertaining romance with plenty of heart and just the right amount of slow-burn frustration. Overall, The Quarantine Clause was an enjoyable forced proximity romance with an emotional buildup where the payoff felt earned.
