Introducing Reader Tiers: More Incentive for Readers, More Reviews for You
Reader Tiers and Why They Exist
We exicted to announce a new tiered system to create a little momentum around new ARC listings. The idea is simple: readers who jump in early are rewarded for it, and that reward gives them a reason to act sooner rather than later.
Here is how it works. As readers sign up for your ARC, they pass through different milestones. The first 20 readers to request your book will earn an Early Access badge on their profile. This badge will directly improve their chances of being accepted for future ARCs on the platform. For readers, it is a real incentive to get in early. For you as an author, it means more eyes on your listing right when it goes live.
Beyond that first milestone, readers who join at later stages will earn other badges that overtime will indicate what kind of reader they are. We are still building out exactly how those will look and be displayed on reader profiles, but the foundation is already in place. We will share more on that soon.
There are five milestones in total: 20, 50, 75, 100, and 150 readers goals. Each one comes with its own badge and title tied to when a reader joined the campaign. So whether someone found your book on day one or discovered it later down the line, they earn recognition for where they landed. Once a campaign reaches 150 readers, the progress bar goes away entirely. At that point the book has built enough of an audience that the urgency has done its job and we do not think it needs to be there anymore.
What This Means for You as an Author
Nothing about your current setup needs to change. You do not need to adjust your listings or worry about readers being turned away. The progress bar is there to create urgency on the reader side, which ultimately means more signups, more reviews, and more visibility for your book.
The short version: Tiers are a reader-facing feature designed to drive engagement with your ARC. Unlimited reader access remains exactly as it was.
