A paid assassin and a thief, she is in competition in her field with someone who calls himself Jackal. She was raised on the streets and is ruthless and only cares about her sister and keeping her safe.

He becomes obsessed and falls first.

I absolutely loved their interactions and the 'cat and mouse' games they played throughout the book. In a dangerous world and both of them having had rough childhoods, they are pulled to each other.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It is not a typical good girl/bad boy book and it was refreshing to read a book where both are morallygray. I enjoyed their story and the fact that there is a plot involved and the book is not only focused on their love story. There is nothing i didn't like about this book. Thank you for the opportunity, I am glad I had the opportunity to get to know this series. I can't wait to read Eli's book and to know what happens next.

Eli and Zoe's story

Eli
His world shattered when he lost his mother. He started thinking that he doesn't deserve to be loved or to love.

He's Ryker's chosen brother, the one who stood by his side through everything, the hacker and general of the pact. He is the man whore of the gang and is proud to live up to his reputation. Until Zoe decides it's time to grow up and by doing so she crawls into his mind and becomes his obsession.

Zoe
She's Ashley's sister. Growing up in her sister's shadow, having to rely on her protection more than once, she decides to take control of her life and show everyone she is not the little girl they all think she is.
I started this book thinking there is no way I would love Eli as much as Ryker, but here I am completely in love with the guy and ready to justify all his red flags. And if it wasn't a betrayal to my love for Ryker, I would say that i love him even more.

And Zoe. I got even more attached to her than I did to her sister. I cried for what she went through and rooted for her all through the book. She is so strong and so amazing, I couldn't help loving her.

This is another five star read for me, there is nothing in this book i didn't like, I couldn't put it down. I am beyond grateful to have had this opportunity to get to know this author, i am amazed by her writing, each book being better than the last. Violet, you did it again for me and i am officially a fan. I am waiting impatiently for Theo's book.
