A heartfelt magically filled romance filled with palpable attraction. Plenty of spicy scenes that added to the story vs taking away from it. The secret academy setup was a fun new spin and how the students were chosen pulled you in. Overall a nice read intriguing me enough to want to see what happens in book 2.

I was not able to complete this read. The grammatical errors pulled me away from the story and I couldn’t look past them anymore. The concept of the story sounded intriguing and the pictures for each chapter was a nice chance from my normal reads.

This was the perfect light read for me to break up some of my other heavier reads. The character development was great, good plot and emotional connection. This was a book that was able to grab and maintain my attention throughout the whole story.

This book was so fun!!! I absolutely love the banter and how witty Naevyn is. The plot was excellent. The character development spot on. The sexual tension radiated off my Kindle 🥵🥵🥵. I can not wait for book 2!! Thank you Pen Pinery for this copy and all opinions are my very own. Add this to your TBR. You will not be disappointed!

Romance, suspense and a dollop of paranormal, this one has it all. Matt and Anna are easy to connect with and have a strong story that will leave you emotionally fulfilled. This was the first book I have picked up by this author and I was not disappointed.

Hellebore Fields had a great plot and Tesni and Branween had good chemistry. I guess my expectations were more in the darker side than this book delivered and some areas fell a little flat for me and I wished there was more hockey elements incorporated into the story. The book also had an open ending and I was not prepared for that at all.

If you're looking for an academia with a sprinkle of hockey mixed in then this might be the book for you.

Thank you Pen Pinery for my copy and these are my honest opinions.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a refreshing read when both MCs are morally grey, coming from disturbing childhoods and discovered found family.

The cat and mouse games and the banter made the book that much better! I can't wait to start the next book!
