I received a review readers copy of this story, and this is my honest review. I really loved that this book strayed from the norm and was from the MMC POV rather than the MFC as is typical. I also loved how the MMC grew and changed for the better over the course of the book. He was incredibly well written and I loved going through the story with him. Beyond that the MFC could have had a lot more depth and growth to me, as she seemed distant for a main character. I also wish more time had been spent on world building and drawing you into things rather than just telling them to you as seemed to happen randomly through the book. I loved the story overall, and the growth I could see was lovely, but i feel like it would have benefitted from just having more in it overall.

This book/novella was super fast paced and packed full of various elements that were fun, intriguing, or otherwise plot driving. I really enjoyed the characters, the growth, the depth. I just wish there had been more. More depth, more time between things, more explanations or pauses instead of running through everything at breakneck speed. The amount of elements, if drawn out more, could have easily given more to the story and were already layered fairly well but it all felt a little rushed due to the pace of the book and brevity of it. It was a great read, but so short! I am jumping right to the next and can't wait!
