I did really enjoy the in-depth look into the hockey world through this book. In addition to the frequent photography references. I feel like I struggled halfway through this book because it felt fairly redundant in the middle, but I did like how the book itself ended all in all it was a a good hockey read that can be read in a day.

What do you get when you take two ruthless assassins with the same target? You get an explosive and tension filled book that you’re unable to put down (literally, I stayed up finishing the book). I am so excited to read book 2 to continue the story.

This was definitely a sweet rom-com. I loved the banter between all of the characters and really enjoyed the reality television component. The tension between the two main characters was wonderful, and the slow burn was very cute as well.
I also loved that the story was told through dual points of view because it allowed you to see their inner thoughts and understand that their feelings had been there from the beginning. I’m excited for book two!

I always feel like second books in a series are either a hit or a miss, and this one was definitely a hit. I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters, and I liked that the reality TV aspect took a different approach from the first book. It kept things feeling fresh instead of like a copy-and-paste of the previous story.

That said, I do think the relationship felt slightly less genuine than the one in book one. I would have liked a little more development, more banter, or a few extra moments between them because it felt like they went from not being together to being together fairly quickly. While I understood their connection, I didn’t feel as invested in their romance as I did in the first couple’s.

I appreciated that all of the loose ends were wrapped up by the end of the story, but I also like that there’s still potential for a third book in the series.
