He put me behind bars. Now I'm on my knees before him.
Five years ago, I arrested Alexei Volkov — the heir to the most ruthless Bratva family on the Eastern Seaboard. It was supposed to be the bust of my career. It was the biggest mistake of my life.
Now my brother owes a blood debt he can't pay. And the man I put in a cage is the one holding my leash.
Alexei doesn't just want my obedience. He wants me to break. He wants me to beg. He wants me to forget I ever wore a badge. The worst part? Every time those cold gray eyes pin me in place, I forget too.
There are secrets buried between us — secrets that could set us both free, or bury us side by side. In the Bratva, love isn't just forbidden.
It's a death sentence.
KNEEL FOR THE BRATVA is Book 1 of the Volkov Bratva series — a dark MM mafia romance for readers who want the knife at the throat, the knee on the floor, and the slow unraveling of two men who should never have touched.
What you can expect:
- Enemies-to-lovers with a five-year-old grudge and no clean slate
- Dual POV (Nick / Alexei) — third person, alternating
- A possessive, morally gray Bratva heir who collects debts in flesh
- An ex-cop forced into proximity he swore he'd never allow
- On-page spice, captivity dynamics, and a dubcon edge handled with intent
- Ends on a hard cliffhanger. Book 2 (Throne of Ashes) is already published.
This book does not pull punches. If you're here for the dark, welcome home. If you need a softer read, this is not the one — please check the trigger warnings below before requesting.
Heat: Very Spicy. Darkness: intentional. HEA: at series end.
violence (gun, physical), captivity, dubious consent (power imbalance context), references to past trauma, organized crime violence, morally grey protagonist actions, cliffhanger ending
"You'll dont have to earn the right to feel things" is one of my favorite lines in this book and Dmitri is my favorite character in this series so far. I enjoyed following the emotional development of Nick and Alexei as their journey together unfolded.
