Not quite

This book screams “i’m here for the spice, not the plot!” because truly, there are so many holes in the plot itself. And the spice is sparse. The story has potential, but the writing is choppy and rushed.
The jump from Ch2 to Ch3 was jarring. I won’t lie. It didn’t make sense to me…
We start out in a low. Sadness. Loss. Trauma. Mortality. Then…👀
Seem to be rapidly going through the romantic entanglements. Fae are by nature sexual beings, but even this feels rushed with no true development.

Also, it irks me when people hold their past intimacies against them. What matters, what is logical, is what happens once the relationship begins… not who came before.

wait, when tf did she get a mate mark?!?! that’s a major writing error… because much later…

she has this “endgame” goal that doesn’t align with her reality. i can’t be more specific without spoilers - but seriously selfish and shortsighted.

This did not hit for me.
