Head Fake

A coma at age twelve freezes Skyler Davidson’s dream of playing quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Waking up after nine years of hibernation, he is an adult with his life stuck in the past. Forced to deal with puberty, two girlfriends, a stepmother who dislikes him, and a father who can’t come to terms with his extended family, Skyler must evolve from pre-teen to adulthood quickly enough to still a have shot at professional football.

Coming from a time of bicycles, flip-phones, and soft drinks, Skyler’s new life necessitates a driver’s license, a smartphone, and cold beer. While football plays a significant role in his future, Skyler’s quandary of dealing with two girlfriends carries the action.
