Jamie Merril grew up in Washington state with his mom, two older sisters, and their beloved golden retriever, Pepper. If you ever needed him, you would find him with his nose shoved in whatever book he could get his hands on. His family lovingly called him Bellie—inspired by Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. Jamie did not attend anywhere new or noteworthy, but he has always held a love for creative writing, including writing songs, short stories, and notable best-man speeches. After years of waiting for the perfect moment that never came, he sat down and decided to just do the dang thing. When not writing, you can find him drinking lattes, running around in the rain, or playing with his new golden, Waffle.
